Description

Jersey and Guernsey established their own postal administrations in October 1969 and introduced their own postage stamps. Prior to that their stamps were issued by Britain. When the new set up started all issues prior to 1969 were invalidated and not allowed for postal use except Guernsey who granted an extension to 1970.
